Billion-Pixel View of China & the World: Ultra-HD City Imaging Platform
Billion-Pixel View of China & the World: Ultra-HD City Imaging PlatformIntroduction
"China in Hundreds of Billions of Pixels" is an ultra-high-definition city imaging platform developed by Shanghai Jingkun Technology. It uses high-resolution panoramic photography to stitch together captured high-definition panoramic photos into ultra-high-definition images, allowing users to view panoramas of major Chinese cities and attractions. Users can drag with the mouse and zoom with the scroll wheel to carefully examine the details within the panoramas.

Features of "China in Hundreds of Billions of Pixels"
Ultra-high pixel capture: DSLR cameras are used on top of tall buildings and on drones to take thousands of photos, with inter-photo spacing errors controlled to within 0.1 degrees, to complete a 360-degree capture of the city. These photos are then merged and their details refined.
Browsing optimization: By using image tile-based progressive loading technology, images are divided into tens of thousands of small pieces across multiple levels. Loading occurs "on demand" based on user actions, avoiding the transmission of too much data at once.
Multi-device support: Both computers and mobile phones can access the platform. Combined with 5G and WebGL technologies, image loading is faster.
Detailed annotations: The images are annotated with attraction names, historical and cultural backgrounds, and more, helping users better understand the places they are viewing.
