FunClip is a fully open-source, locally deployed automated video editing tool, developed based on the SeACo-Paraformer long audio version technology independently developed by Alibaba Tongyi Lab. It features speech recognition, endpoint detection, punctuation prediction, timestamp function, speaker diarization, and hotword customization capabilities.

FunClip performs speech recognition on videos by calling the open-source FunASR Paraformer series models from Alibaba Tongyi Lab. Users can select video clips based on the recognition results and extract the desired portions through the cropping function. FunClip integrates the Paraformer-Large model, providing efficient Chinese ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) capabilities.

FunClip Features:

• FunClip integrates the hotword customization feature of SeACo-Paraformer, allowing users to specify certain entity words, names, etc. as hotwords during the ASR process to improve recognition accuracy.

• FunClip integrates the CAM++ speaker recognition model, allowing users to use the automatically identified speaker IDs as cropping targets to extract segments from a specific speaker.

• The above functions are implemented through Gradio interaction, making installation simple and usage convenient. It can also be deployed as a service on the server for browser-based access.

• FunClip supports free cropping of multiple segments and automatically returns the full video SRT subtitles as well as the SRT subtitles of the target segment, making it simple and convenient to use.

Basic Steps for Video Editing with FunClip:

1. Upload a video or audio file and click the recognition button.

2. Copy the desired text from the recognition results to the upper right area, or set the speaker identifier, configure the offset and subtitle settings (optional).

3. Finally, click the crop button to obtain the corresponding video segment. In addition, FunClip also supports the function of freely cropping video segments based on text selection from the recognition results.
