Quizlet's Q-Chat is a beta version of the chatbot that combines Quizlet's massive content library with the powerful capabilities of OpenAI's ChatGPT API (Application Programming Interface). In other words, it uses Quizlet content to create practice sentences, quizzes, and short stories.

Designed to make learning fun and effective, Q-Chat is more than just a basic chatbot—it can help you understand material, guide you in studying a language, and provide learning direction when you don't know where to begin.

Q-Chat Feature Applications:

How to Use Q-Chat:

You'll need to create an account to access Quizlet. This can be done by signing up with your email or logging in via Gmail. Once you're in Quizlet, you can search for study sets from Quizlet's vast library or create your own. Once you've found or created a set you like, you can click on it to access flashcards and other features. To use Q-Chat, simply click the Q-Chat icon in the top right corner. Once you're in Q-Chat, you'll see several different icons at the bottom of the screen: Quiz Me, Story Mode, and Sentence Practice. Choose the learning activity you'd like to start with, or select "Skip" to begin your study session.

Q-Chat is currently available to students and teachers aged 16 and over in the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and France. In Germany and France, it is available to those aged 18 and over. English, German, and French are supported across these locations. As we continue to expand to other locations, you can log into your Quizlet account to see if you currently have access. If you don't yet have a Quizlet account, you can sign up for free.

Q-Chat Pricing:

Quizlet does allow limited free access; however, if you or your students plan to use it regularly, a subscription is required (currently $35 per year or $7.99 per month).
