Toutiao Account is an open content creation and distribution platform launched by Toutiao (Jinri Toutiao). Built on Toutiao's recommendation engine, it enables media, enterprises, government agencies, and individuals to create, distribute, and precisely deliver content. After successfully applying for and joining the Toutiao Account platform, users can create and publish content in various formats, including text, images, videos, and more.

The process of registering a Toutiao Account involves logging into the Toutiao Account backend on a computer and clicking [Register], choosing a registration method (phone number registration or email registration), selecting an account type (individual or organization), filling in and submitting application materials, and linking a proof of creative ability (optional). Individual accounts require author authentication on the Toutiao APP, and once authentication is passed, the Toutiao Account review is considered complete.

Toutiao Account supports registration for five different types of entities, including "Individual," "Enterprise," "National Agency," "News Media," and "Other Organization." Each account starts with a score of 100 points. If a penalty rule is triggered, corresponding points will be deducted, but the deducted points can be restored within a certain period. To increase content exposure and attract more followers, creators need to pay attention to content quality and originality, avoid plagiarism and low-quality content, and regularly update content to maintain activity and user engagement. In addition, Toutiao Account provides a column promotion feature that allows content creators to help column authors promote and sell paid columns, earning commissions in the process.

For users who want to earn revenue through Toutiao Account, enabling the advertising revenue permission is an important step. After registering a Toutiao Account, publishing articles directly does not generate revenue, because the advertising revenue permission also needs to be enabled. In addition, enabling the original content feature is also an important step in becoming an excellent Toutiao author. Once certain conditions are met, you can apply to enable the original content feature on the Toutiao Account computer backend and wait for the platform's review to pass.

Toutiao Account provides content creators with a platform to showcase their talents and earn revenue. However, to succeed on this platform, creators need to focus on content quality and originality, understand and leverage the platform's recommendation mechanisms and various promotion strategies, and also pay attention to complying with platform rules to avoid violations that could result in account penalties.
