Alibaba Cloud Launches Tongyi Qianwen LLM to Build an Intelligent Ecosystem 240

On April 11, the 2023 Alibaba Cloud Summit was held in Beijing. Daniel Zhang (Zhang Yong), CEO of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group, announced a major news: Alibaba Cloud released the Tongyi Qianwen large model, a large model specifically designed to respond to human instructions, capable of providing intelligent services and solutions for users in various scenarios.

The Tongyi Qianwen large model is developed based on the large model infrastructure platform built by Alibaba Cloud, which supports the training, deployment, and operation of multiple large models across fields including natural language processing, computer vision, and speech recognition. Zhang Yong stated that on this platform, there will not only be Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen, but it will also be opened up to third-party large models for integration, forming an open large model ecosystem.

Zhang Yong also revealed that all Alibaba products will be integrated with the Tongyi Qianwen large model in the future for comprehensive upgrades, including Tmall, DingTalk, Amap (Gaode Maps), Taobao, Youku, Hema (Freshippo), and others. He said that through the Tongyi Qianwen large model, users can interact with these products using natural language or voice, achieving a more convenient and intelligent experience. For example, on Tmall, users can directly say what they want to buy, and Tongyi Qianwen will recommend suitable products based on the user's preferences and needs; on Amap, users can directly say where they want to go, and Tongyi Qianwen will plan the optimal route and transportation mode; on Hema, users can directly say what they want to eat, and Tongyi Qianwen will provide the freshest and most delicious ingredients and recipes.

Zhang Yong stated that the Tongyi Qianwen large model is an important component of Alibaba Cloud's intelligent strategy and also Alibaba Cloud's contribution to society. He said that through the Tongyi Qianwen large model, Alibaba Cloud hopes to bring users a more convenient and intelligent lifestyle, bring enterprises more efficient and innovative business models, and bring society a greener and more sustainable development path.
