Sim Studio: An Open-Source Tool for Building, Testing, and Optimizing Agent Workflows
What is Sim Studio?
Sim Studio is an open-source tool for building, testing, and optimizing agent workflows. It provides developers and users with a powerful yet easy-to-use environment for constructing, testing, and refining AI agent workflows.

Core Features of Sim Studio
Visual Workflow Editor: Offers an intuitive visual interface that allows users to quickly build complex AI agent workflows through drag-and-drop.
Multi-Model Integration: Supports seamless integration with multiple large language model (LLM) providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), allowing users to choose the model that best fits their needs.
Deployment and Integration: Workflows can be deployed as secure, scalable APIs for easy integration into other applications.
Automated Triggers and Scheduling: Supports triggering workflows via Webhooks, and workflows can also be scheduled to run at specific times or intervals.
Rich Integration Options: Provides over 100 pre-built connectors for integrating with external services, databases, and data sources.
Debugging and Version Control: Features visual debugging capabilities with detailed execution logs, and supports version control for easy tracking and rollback.
Team Collaboration: Supports team members collaborating in the same environment, sharing workflows and components.

How to Use Sim Studio
1. Cloud-Hosted Version
If you don't want to set up the environment yourself, you can directly use the cloud-hosted version of Sim Studio. Simply visit the provided cloud-hosted link and use the platform's features right away, without the need for local installation and configuration.
2. Self-Hosting
Sim Studio offers multiple self-hosting options, including Docker environments, Dev Containers, and manual setup.
Docker Environment (Recommended)
Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/sim.git cd sim
Replace YOUR_USERNAME with your GitHub username.
Create the environment file:
cp sim/.env.example sim/.env
Open the .env file and configure environment variables as needed, such as BETTER_AUTH_SECRET.
Start Sim Studio:
docker compose up -d --build
Or use the provided script:
./start_simstudio_docker.sh
Access the application:
Open your browser and visit http://localhost:3000/w/. The /w/ path leads to the main workspace interface.
Using Docker commands:
View application logs:
docker compose logs -f simstudio
Access the PostgreSQL database:
