Qwen Slashes Prices: 1 Yuan for 2 Million Tokens 222

Tongyi Qianwen announced today that its GPT-4 level flagship model Qwen-Long has reduced its API input price from 0.02 yuan per thousand tokens to 0.0005 yuan per thousand tokens, a direct drop of 97%.

This means that 1 yuan can buy 2 million tokens, equivalent to the amount of text in 5 copies of the Xinhua Dictionary.

This model supports up to 10 million tokens of long text input, and after the price reduction it is about 1/400 of the price of GPT-4, breaking through the global floor price.

In international authoritative evaluations such as Chatbot Arena, Tongyi Qianwen is the only Chinese large model on the list, on par with other top international models such as GPT-4 Turbo and Gemini-1.5-Pro.

In addition, in the OpenCompass authoritative benchmark evaluation, Tongyi Qianwen 2.5's score is comparable to GPT-4 Turbo.

The score of Tongyi Qianwen's visual understanding model Qwen-VL-Max also surpasses other well-known models such as Gemini Ultra and GPT-4V, demonstrating its strong capabilities in multimodal (i.e., processing images and text) tasks.
