A leaked document shows that Google's Gemini Ultra model will launch on February 7, and at the same time, Google chatbot Bard will be renamed to Gemini.

Gemini will introduce a paid plan: Gemini Advanced, which is a paid model similar to ChatGPT Plus, providing access to Gemini Ultra 1.0, while Gemini Pro will likely remain free.

Gemini Ultra Key Highlights:

Gemini Ultra launches, and Bard is renamed to Gemini.

Interface Optimization: The Gemini user interface has been optimized to reduce visual clutter, improve readability, and simplify navigation.

Gemini Advanced Paid Plan: Provides access to Google's most powerful AI model Ultra 1.0, capable of performing complex tasks such as coding, logical reasoning, and creative collaboration.

Gemini Advanced will introduce new features and exclusive capabilities, such as enhanced multimodal abilities and coding features, as well as the ability to upload and deeply analyze files.

A Gemini APP will be launched, allowing users to download and use Gemini on their phones for learning, writing, planning activities, and more. The app integrates with other Google apps (such as Gmail, Maps, and YouTube) and supports text, voice, or image interactions.

It's actually quite reasonable for Google to want to rename Bard. Previously, most general users probably weren't very clear about the distinction between "Bard" (the AI service) and "Gemini" (the large language model). Now that Google has officially entered the "Gemini era," unifying the two under one name is indeed a simpler and more memorable approach, and helps better establish the brand of Google's AI offerings.

Of course, before Google officially launches it, changes are still possible, so we'll have to wait and see if the February 7 update happens as scheduled.
