First Life-Companion AI Necklace: Tab AI 136

In an era of rapid technological advancement and the relentless pursuit of greater efficiency, the demand for intelligent ai assistants has surged recently. We've already witnessed the emergence of voice-activated assistants like Siri and Alexa, as well as AI-powered chatbots for customer service.

However, a new contender is on the horizon, set to completely transform the way we interact with everyday life—the wearable AI companion Tab. It was developed by Avi Schiffmann, a 21-year-old Harvard dropout.

Avi Schiffmann is a young tech visionary whose goal is to disrupt the tech world once again. Behind him are headlines worth noting, such as a COVID dashboard and an Airbnb-like platform for Ukrainian refugees. This time, he has launched Tab AI, a groundbreaking smart wearable device set to debut in the winter or spring of 2024.

Tab AI is a small puck that hangs around your neck and can listen to everything you (and the people around you) say. In essence, it's just a microphone and a battery that can last up to 30 hours between charges. It uses Bluetooth to transmit your audio to your phone and the cloud, where ChatGPT currently transcribes your conversations, and various AI models will extract insights for you. (Its user experience isn't final, but assume you'll use your phone screen to do whatever you want. Ultimately, Tab is designed to be a companion for AI, or what Avi Schiffmann calls a "clarity machine," playing a role in every moment of your life.)

Since opening pre-orders in October 2023, Tab AI has successfully attracted $100,000 in pre-sale funds, priced at $600 per unit, including a $50 monthly service fee for the first year. The first 50 Tab devices sold out within 2 hours of pre-order, and Tab will ship in the winter/spring of 2024.

Tab AI's differentiation strategy lies in listening to users' voices around the clock and analyzing the entirety of their lives through large model technology, aiming to become an intelligent life companion, setting it apart from traditional exercise and health tracking devices.
